John Gottula PhD is Director of Crop Science at SAS Institute in Cary, NC. Dr. Gottula grew up in Lubbock Texas and worked in a cotton research lab throughout his undergraduate experience at Texas Tech University. At SAS, he applies statistics and analytics across agriculture verticals to help customers transform R&D and commercial operations. Holding a doctorate from Cornell, John formerly directed crop biotechnology studies and led global agronomic development in multinational ag corporations. He is the co-creator of #AgileAg, a movement to link Agile processes with crop science to drive analytics adoption in the agriculture sector.
