Mike Gould became Chairman and Chief Executive of Bloomingdale’s in 1991 and served in that capacity for over 22 years. During his tenure, the store expanded from 16 stores in the east to a national brand with 37 stores in 18 major markets. In 2010, Gould led the brand to global expansion in Dubai. Gould’s career started at Abraham & Straus in New York. In 1978 he was named Senior Vice President of JW Robinson’s in Los Angeles and became Chairman and CEO in 1981. In 1986 he was named COO of Giorgio Beverly Hills and later became President and CEO. Gould serves on a number of boards including Lenox Hill Hospital, Columbia University Graduate School of Business, The American Jewish Committee, Urban Edge Properties, the Rand Corporation and C.J Segerstrom & Sons. He received his BA and MBA from Columbia University.
